Sodus Township Winter 2025 Property Tax Information & Important Dates

Important Date: December 1, 2025 – February 17, 2026, Winter tax collection
Extended Hours 2025: December 30, 2025 9 am to 5 pm
Extended Hours 2026: February 17, 2026 and March 2, 2026 9 am to 5 pm
Interest Charges: February 18, 2026, Interest charges automatically applied.
Postmarks: Postmarks ARE NOT accepted as a payment date. Please allow for mailing time.
Note: Payments can be made at the Sodus Township Hall through March 2, 2026.
Beginning March 3, 2026 DELINQUENT payments must be made at the Berrien County Treasurer’s Office: 701 Main Street, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Call for balance due: 269-983- 7111 ext. 8569 Delinquent payments cannot be made at the Sodus Township Hall.

Checks Payable: Sodus Township
Mail checks to: Sodus Township Treasurer, PO Box 176, Sodus, MI 49126
In-Person Payments: Monday through Friday 9 am to 2 pm, 4056 King Drive, Sodus, Michigan
No In-Person Payments: Wednesday, December 24 and Friday, December 26, 2025
Drop Box: On premises, located by the entry door of the Townhall behind the Ballot Box.
Available 24/7. Please note the Drop Box for Tax Payments will be closed as of March 2, 2026 5pm through June 30, 2026.
By Appointment: Need to pay in person other than times listed above contact the Treasurer.
Receipts: If you would like a receipt when mailing your payment or using the drop box, please include a self-addressed/stamped envelope. If paying in person, please bring in your entire bill, so it may be stamped PAID.
Partial Payments: Are allowed in any amount, during the collections period. No arrangement necessary. Please note the BALANCE must be paid by February 17, 2025 5pm (including drop box) to avoid interest charges.
Escrow Accounts: Tax notices will be mailed directly to the mortgage company. You will receive a duplicate copy with an “Information Purposes” message on the stub. If you receive a regular bill, please contact your mortgage company for their policies and procedures.
